New merch: Costumes! (Sort of)

Hi everyone!

So, on the official Durst We Dare?! merchandise page, I now have THREE (3) BRAND-NEW OVERPRICED ITEMS for sale: IV, Raven, and Sheffie (aka IV-2) costumes! Sort of. They're more like long-sleeve shirts with the character logos printed on the chest.

Check it out; buy one if there's literally nothing better you can drop $32 on. (Or $28, I think?--since Zazzle--the custom merchandise site I use--is having a sale at the immediate moment.)

#28: You can be a superhero.

Every superhero needs an origin story. This is IV's.

Except I still have no idea why he's called IV. Why is he called IV?

That question may NEVER be answered...but please stay tuned anyways for further adventures of Durst We Dare?!

#27: Oblivious

If you haven't seen yesterday's comic, you can either click "Older Posts" at the bottom of the page...or else just use this link.

So, as you've likely noticed, I started experimenting with making the daily comics as a single 5 in. by 8 in. picture rather than multiple 3 x 5 images. We'll see if I can stick with this new format, but I think I like it. Hope you do too!

Not to mention--it's young John Wayne (not the actor)! Does this mean we'll get more angsty backstory on how John first became IV? Will John return to the past, or will he stay in the future to stop RGSC from destroying the world? More importantly, how much longer will this comic be angsty before we get back to the fun stuff?

The answer to the last question is 2 episodes. But for the rest of the answers, stay tuned for further episodes of Durst We Dare?!

#26: Of course there's time travel involved

#25: Piracy (is not a victimless crime)

And thus Weatherman and Weatherboi's origin is revealed. Stay tuned for further adventures of Durst We Dare?! and remember: Piracy is not a victimless crime.

#24: The Beginning of the End

What is this, a new supervillain every episode? Is this Elvis impersonator with hair suspiciously like John's even a villain? Who is this hologram threatening to destroy Earth?

Well, he's a cyborg known as R.G.S.C. (RGSC for short) whose mission for the past 65 years has been to eradicate postmodernism. And now, he's going to destroy the entire planet.

What's going to happen next? Stay tuned for further adventures of Durst We Dare?!

#23: Elf on the Shelf

Who is this ominous-looking, bespectacled, benecklaced humanoid? Most importantly, is benecklaced even a word?

More most importantly, how did Tim the Elf manage to capture Raven and Sheffie in the first place when he couldn't even face John without giving up?

More more most importantly, how much money would Santa Claus actually need at this point to save his toy factory from bankruptcy?

Even more more most importantly, how many spin-offs of Frankenstein have been made portraying the monster as an immortal creature that has survived into the present day? I'm fairly certain there's at least three.

Find out the answers to most of these questions by staying tuned for the further adventures of Durst We Dare?!

#22: SANTA IS REAL AND HE'S EVIL?!?!?

It's Raven's birthday, so I would like to wish a very happy birthday to our favorite Russian spy.

But more importantly, will Raven and Sheffie be able to escape the evil clutches of Tim the Elf (Milk elf, not the cookie elf)? And more most importantly, what exactly is going on?

Find out the answer to the first question and probably not the second one by staying tuned for future episodes of Durst We Dare?!

In today's thrilling adventure of Durst We Dare, Raven and Sheffie run across the Antarctic plains to find the source of the mysterious signals that have been emanating from the South Pole!

They bravely face the mutant penguins that now populate the continent! For some reason, Sheffie does so in a t-shirt and shorts. Must be a guy thing.

But the penguins are more powerful than they expect!

However, the penguins' advanced technology proves to be their own undoing...

...as the flamethrower inadvertently melts the ice beneath the penguin's feet!

Having defeated the mutant penguins of Antarctica, Raven notices something odd in the distance!

Alas, Natalie Wayne (aka "Raven") and Sheffield Jones (aka "Sheffie") are about to face an adversary more dastardly than any they have faced yet!

...maybe.

#20: The Vigilante Known Only As..."V" (pronounced "FIVE")

This is the first DWD I've drawn on a 3x5 card for a while, and I think it turned out really well writing- and humor-wise. Credit for the character design and concept of V goes entirely to J. Dryver Henderson.

Who is this dastardly-looking do-gooder? Does IV know about him? Does IV know much about anything? More importantly, will the Weatherguiz ever actually pull off any evil plots?

And more most importantly, will Weatherman ever get his first balloon back?

Find out (or not) in the next thrilling installments of Durst We Dare?!

What's this? Are Raven and Sheffie going to attempt defeating the penguins without John Wayne (not the actor)/IV? Will he feel betrayed? Will they succeed? And most importantly, did I really stoop to just copying and pasting characters' bodies and only redrawing their faces?

Find out in the next thrilling installment of Durst We Dare?! (Well, I mean, the answer to that last question is yes.)
