#17: a conversation with myself

Um...yeah. This episode started out as funny, but then I started feeling sad for John and Natalie (and Sheffie too, let's not forget about him) waking up in a future where almost everyone they knew and loved has died of old age.

Will John and Natalie ever find catharsis? What powers do the mutant penguins have, exactly? And most importantly, what was the punchline originally going to be for this installment?

#16: Suits

The suits don't actually have any technology in them that isn't available to ordinary people in the year 2057, but since IV and Raven grew up in the 1970s and 80s, even just handing them an iPhone would be a vast improvement. They also now have capes!

Will Raven and IV ever get around to facing the mutant penguins of Antarctica? Will their new capes turn out to be their downfall? Will I write any more of these tongue-in-cheek questions tonight?

The answer to the last question is no.

bonus #3: How to Draw John

I will get back to regular comics soon. I promise. But for now, enjoy this tutorial video I made on how to draw John Wayne (not the actor)!

bonus #2: Bills wants back

Here's a rather quickly drawn comic that takes place outside of the regular continuity of Durst We Dare?! I hope you enjoy it.

My hair doesn't actually look like that anymore, but it's more fun to draw my hair being really spiky. Also I was worried that cartoon me would look too much like my design of Sheffield if I drew myself with my hair as it is now.

My pet robot ZACH-E was quite reluctant to appear in a Durst We Dare?! cameo, but after much negotiating, he agreed to make an appearance. (In years past, I made a few not-very-good YouTube videos about my time-traveling adventures with ZACH-E, and if you'd like, you can check them out here.)

What will John and Raven's new supersuits look like? Will they be able to defeat the mutant penguins of Antarctica? Will Sheffie get a chance to help? More importantly, what ever happened to Norm?

And more most importantly, will John ever get to wear sleeves again?

#14

Sorry for the delay in this new comic, dear readers. I've added an email subscription gadget to the side, however, so that hopefully will make it easier to know when I've updated the comic.

Will John and Natalie be able to defeat the mutant penguins of Antarctica? What could the mysterious signal from the South Pole possibly be? Most importantly, how will our three protagonists deal with suddenly finding themselves in an alien time? Find out in the next thrilling installment of Durst We Dare?!

(Seriously, most of you will have no idea how much discussion went into the costume design for this comic.)

#13

There seems to have been some confusion as to whether today's comic would be numbered 12.875 or 13. Alas, it is 13. Today's comic also has the special feature that you can print the images out and use them as coloring pages!

Will Weatherman and Weatherboi ever accomplish anything productive? Will IV, Raven, and Sheffie successfully be thawed out of the ice where 61-year old investigative journalist Sally Baxter has discovered them in the year 2057? What new challenges and villains will they face in this new world? Are Dr. Professor Bills and Nicoletta still up to their old tricks? Did they succeed in overrunning Antarctica with mutant penguins?

And perhaps most importantly, will I ever write a story that doesn't involve some form of time travel?

#12: Epic Road Trip

Orlando is the name of the car. Also, I am greatly disappointed that no one pointed out that IV's "bat-ears" disappeared in the middle of the last comic. Oh well--they're gone forever now. The bat-ears, not the characters.

#11: The IV-Mobile

What a nice guy that Sheffie is. Sheffie's short for Sheffield, actually. Sheffield the Chauffeur.

Will the team make it to Antarctica? Is it even possible to drive to Antarctica? And most importantly, where'd Norm go? (Also, does any other character have, like, a family? Or a job?)

Find out in the next thrilling installment of Durst We Dare?! which will hopefully be uploaded much sooner than this comic was
